Rules - Miss & Mister Jeunesse (MMJ)
1. Conditions of participation
MMJ is open to young people aged between 15 and 30, regardless of height or weight.
Tattoos and piercings are permitted. Nude photos are not permitted.
Swimming costume parades may be authorised under certain conditions, only with the agreement of MMJ, and of the parents if the candidate is a minor.
Candidates must be of good character. There are two registration options:
Essential option: €15, giving access to the adventure and participation in the regional selection.
Premium package: €30, which also includes a Candidate Kit sent to your home address (scarf, pen, cap, bracelet and MMJ pouch). The contents of the kit may vary depending on available stocks.
The fee is charged at the start of the adventure and is non-refundable.
Mums and dads are of course welcome to join the MMJ concept. However, they will have to organise their own family management to be present at the various events, rehearsals and official meetings.
Candidates who have already entered another competition, or who currently hold an official title (scarf), may not take part in MMJ, unless they have written authorisation from the committee.
This measure is designed to ensure fairness between all participants and to preserve the unique identity of the concept.
2. Selection criteria
Candidates are evaluated throughout the adventure. The MMJ committee attaches great importance to behaviour, respect for others, group spirit and motivation.
During the election, candidates are judged on various aspects: everyday clothing (the most decisive), presentation of a talent or passion in one minute, evening wear, costume, and other outfits imposed during the national final. A semi-final may be held if there are a large number of entries. In this case, there will only be 2 rounds: Everyday wear, then Evening wear. And some will go through to the final.
3. Commitment and consistency
Candidates must demonstrate consistency. The points system rewards attendance, commitment and active participation.
4. Rehearsals and D-Day
Attendance at rehearsals is compulsory. Any absence will result in immediate disqualification. Punctuality and respect for the MMJ organisation, partners and other candidates are required.
Candidates must have clean hair on D-day. It is forbidden to touch up make-up or hairstyles. If a candidate feels uncomfortable, he or she can speak to his or her manager. MMJ rejects capricious attitudes: respect and team spirit come first.
5. Dress code
Candidates must take care with their clothing, including underwear. Visible mistakes, such as dark underwear under light-coloured clothing, will be penalised
Talent attire: suitable for the 1 minute
Everyday attire: authentic, natural, representative of the personality
Evening attire: Men: black or navy blue suit Women: black, red or white dress (rhinestones permitted), suitable for the body type Other attire: defined by the committee for the national or international final
6. Points system

8. Withdrawal
The MMJ committee reserves the right to withdraw a title or sash from a candidate at any time in the event of failure to comply with the rules, an attitude contrary to the values of the concept or inappropriate behaviour.
The withdrawal will be officially notified by e-mail and by registered post. On receipt of this notification, the candidate will have 7 working days to return all the items handed over (sash, crown, documents, etc.) by secure post or in person.
Any unauthorised use of a title, sash or any other element associated with MMJ after removal is strictly forbidden. This constitutes usurpation, which may lead to civil or criminal proceedings, in accordance with article 1240 of the French Civil Code.
The deliberate non-return or misuse of items belonging to the committee may also be considered a breach of trust.
9. Post-election commitment
Elected members commit themselves for a period running from their election until the next official MMJ edition, i.e. approximately 1 year. During this period, they must represent the committee with loyalty, availability and exemplarity.
They undertake to respect the committee and not to defame it publicly or online, on pain of prosecution. They must be present at official events, except in duly justified cases of force majeure. They may not take part in another election or similar competition without prior written authorisation from the committee.
At the end of their term of office, elected members retain their honorary title, but the use of the sash or crown in any external event, content or competition is strictly regulated.
The MMJ committee must be notified of any reuse of the sash or crown for personal, promotional or other purposes.
The committee reserves the right to authorise use or not, depending on the context and the image conveyed. Failure to comply with this rule may result in prosecution for damage to the image of the MMJ concept or misrepresentation.
No content published with the scarf or wreath may contain elements that undermine the image of the concept, such as the presence of alcohol, nightclubs, or any behaviour deemed incompatible with MMJ values.
It is strictly forbidden for the candidate to manufacture, order or wear a personalised scarf or crown claiming to be part of the MMJ concept, or implying an official title, without express validation from the committee.
Only the official materials supplied by MMJ are authentic. Any unauthorised imitation or representation constitutes an attack on the organisation's image and may be prosecuted.
10. Communication
Communication is essential. Candidates must share their adventure, explain the concept and encourage other young people to take an interest.
11. Confidentiality & image rights
Internal documents are confidential. Any unauthorised disclosure may result in legal action.
Candidates authorise the use of their photo and video images for the purposes of the event and its communication. They may ask for their individual photos to be removed after the election, but not their group photos.
12. Good conduct on social networks
Candidates undertake to behave in a respectful and benevolent manner on social networks.
Any hateful language, discriminatory comments or attacks on other candidates or committee members are strictly forbidden.
Content published in connection with MMJ must always reflect the image of the concept: inclusive, positive and empowering. Any breach may result in sanctions or even dismissal.
13. Disclaimer
The MMJ committee cannot be held responsible for any injury, loss or theft that may occur during events linked to the adventure.
Each participant is invited to make his or her own arrangements: insurance, vigilance, security of personal belongings.
14. Mediation in the event of a dispute
In the event of a disagreement between a candidate (or elected member) and the MMJ committee, internal mediation will be attempted as a priority.
Only if mediation fails will legal action be considered. This rule aims to preserve the spirit of respect and dialogue at the heart of the MMJ concept.
